Profile

Pek Cowan remains one of the most consistent performers and unsung heroes for the Emirates Western Force. At 26, Cowan already has seven seasons of Super Rugby under his belt and is one of the senior leaders within the West Australian forward pack. The powerful New Zealand-born front-rower, a member of the Emirates Western Force’s inaugural 2006 squad, is an aggressive ball runner, strong scrummager and very versatile, being able to play at hooker or on either side of the scrum. Cowan progressed through the junior national sides – representing his country at schoolboys, under 19 and under 21 level, and Australia A – to earn his Test debut in 2009 against Italy. He remained part of the 2010 and 2011 Wallaby squads and will be pushing for further international representation in 2013 after playing every match for the Emirates Western Force last season.
