John Welborn Cup
The Welborn Cup is a High School First XV knock-out tournament contested as curtain raiser games to the Emirates Western Force home fixtures. Named after WA's first home grown Wallaby and Emirates Western Force inaugural player, John Welborn, the Welborn Cup provides a kick start to many school rugby programs throughout Perth.
Schools Rugby
Schools rugby in the Perth area is divided into two major competitions, the Public Schools Association (PSA) and the Smarter Than Smoking Combined Schools & Colleges (CSC).

School Girls
Due to the success of School Girls rugby over the past two years, RugbyWA will be offering a Girls Smarter Than Smoking CSC competition for the first four weeks of Term 4 in 2008. The structure of the competition will focus on seven-a-side rugby with multiple games being played over four afternoons. RugbyWA Smarter Than Smoking Development Officers and RugbyWA Women’s State Players will be available to assist with coaching and will also be present on match day to approach the game as a learning experience.
