National Talent Squad
Age | 14 – 18 years |
Dates | October – September (quarterly reviews) |
Times | Sessions generally of a weekday afternoon 4:30pm – 6:30pm |
Skills | Large focus on core skill – catch & pass, track & tackle, win contact, breakdown, position specific |
Venues | RugbyWA, Rugby Park, McGillivray Oval |
Description | The NTS is an ARU funded program providing talented players with the opportunity to train at an elite level. This includes a skill component and strength & conditioning program, as well as ancillary programs in well being, nutrition, ASADA etc. Entry is via invite only. |

Description | The RugbyWA Junior Academy provides additional learning opportunities for junior players identified as potential NTS or State players. The program aims to take the core of players from each junior State team and work on their core skills during the off-season. |
