MBF Forward Pack
MBF Forward Pack is a youth development initiative that allows ten young people from WA to spend several days with the Emirates Western Force, being mentored by senior players.
The 2008 MBF Forward Pack program will commence on Thursday 10 April and run through until Sunday 13 April, incorporating the Emirates Western Force match against the Waratahs. The young participants will spend the four days with the Emirates Western Force, participating in both a mentoring program and their own training and personal development.
Parents/Guardians are involved and encouraged to attend a range of activities during the course of the four days. This program represents a great opportunity for young rugby participants to take part in an experience of a lifetime.
We are seeking nominations from across all RugbyWA affiliated Clubs and Schools for young rugby participants to take part in the program. All accommodation for each participant and one parent/guardian and all meals and apparel costs for participants are covered in the program.
Selection criteria
Recruitment of potential candidates for MBF Forward Pack will be conducted by RugbyWA, subject to certain guidelines. We seek young people who are ‘champion human beings’ not necessarily champion rugby players.
They will be young people who have:
- Shown great commitment to their local communities through service or behaviour that is capable of inspiring other young people.
- Overcome adversity or impediments that might have otherwise prevented them from progressing towards their dream and goals.
- Demonstrate qualities that identify them as potential future leaders both within their club and community.
The nominees must be 15 or 16 years old in March 2008.
