WA PROPS EARN AUSTRALIAN SELECTION

Hale School product Gary Neugebauer has been rewarded for his performances at the Australian Schools National Championships with selection in the Australian Schoolboys squad.
Neugebauer was instrumental for WA in the front row and the big prop will again carry the flag for the state in the national side which will play Samoa and Fiji in two Test matches in Sydney on September 8 and 11.
Fellow WA prop Oli Hoskins also caught the eye of selectors with three tries during the championships and has earned a place in the Australia A squad.
More than half of the Australian squad is made up of NSW representatives with eight players from the NSW 2nd XV selected after finishing runners-up to Queensland II.
Keebra Park High School playmaker Dion Taumata is the only member of Queensland II’s Championship team to have won selection in the Australian Schoolboys squad, however six of his teammates have been named in the A squad which will play Fiji on 4 September in Sydney.
