MATT Giteau has come a long way from his ‘Kid Dynamite’ days and is now rated among the top echelon of players in world rugby. At just 26 he is also considered among the ‘elder statesmen’ of Australian Rugby, with his 65 Test caps and 64 Super 14 appearances.

A superb reader of the game, Giteau has an electrifying turn of pace and is among the most skillful players of the modern era. He will again be the key man in attack for the Emirates Western Force and pivotal to the team’s chances of breaking into the Super 14 finals for the first time.

‘Gits’ scored 71 points in his debut season in Perth after four years with the Brumbies, adding a further 94 points in 2008. Uniquely, his Test points tally of 409 eclipses his Super rugby total of 316. He scored 150 points for the Wallabies in 2008, playing all 14 Tests.
