PEK Cowan emerged as one of the country’s leading developing front row talents in a landmark 2008 season which saw him secure an Australia A jersey and a permanent home in the Emirates Western Force starting XV.
Powerfully built and physical at the breakdown, Cowan made just one appearance in his first two seasons with the WA side before establishing himself as a regular in the run on team with a series of commanding performances in the number 1 jersey last season.
‘Pekka’ has followed the Australian Rugby development pathway with huge success, having graduated from Schoolboys to Australia A level within five years. The 22-year-old is aiming to raise the bar once again and use his 2009 Super 14 season as a springboard to higher honours.
