SCOTT Daruda once again provided more than reliable service at the inside back positions for the Emirates Western Force in 2008, earning a handful of starts in the number 12 jersey before making a return on the representative scene.
A gifted athlete and clever playmaker, Papua New Guinean-born Daruda has gained substantial exposure at Super 14 level and is primed to challenge for a permanent place in the WA side’s first choice backline.
An inaugural member of the Emirates Western Force, who debuted at flyhalf in the team’s first competition match in 2006, Daruda is another young gun on the radar of national selectors after representing Australia A in last year’s Pacific Nations Cup tournament. He provides the team with a solid back-up goal kicking option.
