The Emirates Western Force hope to create history in their match against the Reds this Sunday at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
In the four clashes between the Emirates Western Force and the Reds it has been the team with home ground advantage that has enjoyed the spoils.
Last time they met was in Perth and it was the Force who recorded a 39-7 victory. The WA boys are keen to reproduce that form on Sunday in Queensland, however the Reds have surprised many experts with a strong start to the season defeating the Crusaders and the Chiefs, and with only narrow defeats at the hands of the Waratahs and the Blues.
Historically, the Force have always had a strong return from the break winning three out of their four previous matches – the most recent being the triumph over the Reds. The acquisition of flyhalf David Hill, who brings a wealth of experience to the playaker role is a significant inclusion for the Emirates Western Force. Hill, who has joined the club after completing his commitments with Japanese side Toshiba, has represented the All Blacks and played 58 Super Rugby games for the Chiefs prior to stints with Bristol in the UK and in Japan.
The match will air live on Fox Sports 3 at 2:30pm AWST.
